Terms and Conditions

Throughout our Terms and Conditions, we may refer to Boomerang Bricks as “we”, “us” or “our”, and the subscriber as “you” or “your”.

WHAT WE DO

Boomerang Bricks is a UK-based online subscription service in which customers can rent LEGO®. Our mission is to afford people the opportunity to play and display LEGO® in a cost-effective, space-saving and environmentally sustainable way.

Boomerang Bricks is only available for UK customers.

USE OF PHOTOS

Our LEGO® sets that are available to rent use photos from the official LEGO® website. This is so we can show the LEGO® sets in the best possible way, allowing subscribers to know what to fully expect from each set they borrow.

SUITABLE AGES

LEGO® is suitable for ages 4+. Some LEGO® sets contain small parts that ARE NOT suitable for and may pose a hazard to children under 3 years of age. If you have children younger than 3 we strongly recommend supervision when building and playing with LEGO®.

LIABILITY

Boomerang Bricks cannot be held accountable for any injuries sustained while renting LEGO® sets from us. It is the sole responsibility of the subscriber to build, play and display LEGO® rentals responsibly.

SUBSCRIPTIONS

Subscriptions are processed through the third-party subscription application PayWhirl. PayWhirl requires your personal data, such as your name, address and bank details, in order to fulfil subscriptions. That information is then shared with us to create a customer account and process LEGO® rentals. For more information about the kinds of data PayWhirl requires, please read PayWhirl’s Privacy Policy.

Subscriptions are recurring and will be automatically debited from your bank account every month. As a subscriber, you have access to the Subscription Portal, where you can edit your details and change your subscription plan.

SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY

We reserve the right to cancel your subscription if we suspect any suspicious activity or foul play. An example of suspicious activity would be using multiple or duplicate accounts to repeatedly get your first month’s subscription half price or to try and rent more LEGO® sets than your subscription allows. If we are sending an unusual amount of LEGO® rentals to a single address, all subscriptions will be cancelled until the issue is resolved.

In the spirit of fairness, we ask that subscribers act honestly and do their best not to take unfair advantage of our LEGO® subscription service.

CANCELLATIONS

To cancel your subscription, please contact us. You can request to cancel your subscription at any time but subscriptions will not be cancelled until all LEGO® rentals have been returned to us. Once we have received the LEGO® rentals back, we will cancel your subscription.

PAYMENT

We use secure payment facilities for subscriptions. You can pay for your subscription using PayPal and Credit/Debit card. All of our online transactions are processed securely by our merchant service providers Stripe and/or PayPal. Your credit card number will be encrypted when your subscription is placed using SSL encryption software. Our merchant providers then inform us, via the encryption system, of the outcome of the transaction. Once your transaction is complete you will receive an email to confirm your subscription has been paid for. Please keep this email as proof of purchase.

FAILED PAYMENTS

If payment is declined when your monthly payment is due, you will be informed via email. If, after several attempts to take payment have failed, your subscription will be automatically cancelled. We will proceed to charge you for your subscription via PayPal while you have LEGO® rentals in your possession. If correspondence is ignored, the case will be escalated in accordance with our Non-Returns Liability Policy.

REFUNDS

Subscriptions automatically renew on a monthly basis. If you are billed and decide you no longer want to rent LEGO® from Boomerang Bricks, we cannot refund you. However, you can cancel your subscription at any time, and the cancellation won't start until the next billing date. If you would like to cancel your subscription before it renews, please contact us in a timely manner so that your cancellation request can be completed on time. 

DELIVERY

We aim to process all LEGO® rentals within 2-3 working days, Monday-Friday. LEGO® rentals are posted Tracked 48 via Royal Mail, which aims to deliver within 1-2 working days. If Royal Mail services are not available, LEGO® rentals will require the use of a third-party courier service. Boomerang Bricks cannot be held responsible for late deliveries or for any undelivered LEGO® rentals.

TRACKING

As part of Tracked 48, Royal Mail will email you a tracking number.

INCORRECT ADDRESS AND UNDELIVERED PARCELS

If you provide us with the wrong delivery address and LEGO® rentals are returned to us, it is your responsibility to provide us with a new delivery address. The best way to avoid such a scenario is to double-check your details before renting any LEGO® sets.

LOST PARCELS

In the unlikely event that your LEGO® rental does not arrive please contact us and we will investigate the situation. Royal Mail does not consider a parcel as lost until 10 working days (this excludes weekends and bank holidays) after the due date. If 10 working days have passed and your LEGO® rental has not arrived we will resend a different LEGO® set of your choice.

RETURNS

As part of our subscription service, you are required to send back your LEGO® rentals. A returns label will be included in every parcel, as well as instructions on how to process your return.

You can keep LEGO® rentals for as long as you like, as long as you continue to pay for your subscription. If you decide to cancel your subscription, LEGO® rentals must be returned as soon as possible.

RETURN INSTRUCTIONS

  • Carefully break down your LEGO® sets and put them in the correct bags with their instructions (check to make sure you haven't missed any pieces)
  • Place the bags back in the box with your boomerang card (don't forget to take your return postage label out of the box)
  • Put the box back into the mailing bag your LEGO® arrived in and peel off the sticky strip to seal it
  • Remove the original address label and place your return label on the package and either drop it off at your local Post Office, Royal Mail Customer Service Point or go to https://send.royalmail.com/collect/youritems to arrange a collection
  • Once we have received your sets back and checked them over we will email to let you know when you can pick your next set of LEGO® to enjoy!

MISSING PIECES

Upon their return, LEGO® sets are checked to see if all of their pieces are present. However, if you receive your LEGO® rental and there are pieces missing, please use the form included in your LEGO® rental to inform us of which pieces are missing. Alternatively, please contact us. The sooner we know, the quicker we can order new parts.

LOST AND DAMAGED PIECES

If you happen to lose, damage or fail to return a significant number of pieces, rare parts or Minifigures, we will charge you an additional admin fee to cover the costs. Losses and damages will be handled on a case-by-case basis to ensure that each LEGO® rental receives the appropriate level of cover.

Please use the form included in your LEGO® rental to inform us of which pieces are lost or damaged. Alternatively, please contact us.

NON-RETURNS LIABILITY POLICY

If LEGO® rentals are not returned after the cancellation of your subscription you will be charged the RRP of the LEGO® sets plus an additional £99 admin fee. If we are unable to contact you via email, a written warning will be sent to your address and your details will be passed on to a debt collectors agency. We will not hesitate to escalate the issue to the small claims court if we are required to do so.

HYGIENE

Upon their return, LEGO® sets are thoroughly cleaned before being sent to the next subscriber. LEGO® sets are cleaned in mild detergent and warm water and are dried completely before being resealed into their packaging. If you are dissatisfied with the cleanliness of our LEGO® please don’t hesitate to contact us.

YOUR RIGHT TO BE FORGOTTEN

If you have a subscription (and subsequently, a customer account) with us and you would like to be forgotten please contact us. In order for us to process your request as quickly as possible please provide as many details as you can. If you can't remember which email address you used we can always use your name, phone number and delivery address instead.

WHAT IS THE RIGHT TO BE FORGOTTEN?

As a user of the internet at some point you have voluntarily given up your name, email address, phone number and all kinds of personal data. As all of this information represents you as an individual then you also have the right to take it all away. If you don't want a particular website or company to have information about you, or if you feel a website or company is tarnishing your reputation, you can ask them to erase everything they know about you. This is your right to be forgotten.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE FORGET YOU?

If you make a request to be forgotten we will delete any personal data you gave to us when you subscribed to Boomerang Bricks. Once your account has been deleted you will lose access to:

  • Subscription Portal
  • Your Account
  • Order History
  • Wish List
  • Store Credit
  • Gift Vouchers
  • Refunds

COMPLAINTS

Complaints can be made by emailing us at hello@boomerangbricks.co.uk.

Complaints are handled on a case-by-case basis to ensure that each complaint receives the individual attention it deserves. Our aim is to respond within 24 hours.

COOKIES

Boomerang Bricks uses cookies in accordance with Google Analytics for statistical analysis. This data is used to improve our site and your rental experience. PayWhirl requires the use of cookies to process subscriptions and to make the Subscription Portal functional for customers. PayPal and Stripe require the use of cookies to process monetary transactions. Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, Pinterest and other social media platforms require the use of cookies to use social network functions. However, the use of third-party cookies is out of our control so please refer to each site's Terms and Conditions. It is assumed that by continuing to use the Boomerang Bricks website you are giving us your consent to use cookies. To disable cookies please refer to your web browser’s FAQ for more information.

LEGO® DISCLOSURE

The LEGO® logo is a trademark of the LEGO® group, which does not sponsor, authorise or endorse Boomerang Bricks. To the best of our ability, we adhere to the LEGO® Fair Play Policy.

COPYRIGHT

Please don’t steal our logo and original content. We encourage subscribers to share our content but not to claim Boomerang Bricks’ assets, blogs and products as their own.

LINKS TO OTHER WEBSITES

We like to promote services of like-minded people and share things we enjoy but Boomerang Bricks is not responsible for problems that arise from links to other websites.

COMPETITIONS

  • The promoter is: Boomerang Bricks
  • Employees of Boomerang Bricks shall not be permitted to enter the competition.
  • You must be over 18 years of age to enter. If you are over 18 years of age you may enter on behalf of someone else in your custody.
  • You must be a resident of the United Kingdom (UK) to enter.
  • There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter the competition.
  • No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
  • The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these Terms and Conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.
  • The promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.
  • No cash alternative to the prizes will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
  • Winners will be chosen by Boomerang Bricks using methods of their choosing.
  • Winners will be notified via social media within 48 hours of the closing date. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 7 days of notification the promoter reserves the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.
  • The promoter will notify the winner when and where the prize can be collected.
  • The promoter’s decision regarding all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  • By entering a competition, an entrant is indicating their agreement to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
  • The competition and these Terms and Conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
  • The winner agrees to the use of their name and image in any publicity material. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.
  • Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
  • This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, Pinterest or any other social media network.
